Position Summary
The Divisional Vice President of Sales – Focused Service will provide executive leadership and oversight for the sales and revenue generation efforts of ALH’s focused service hotel portfolio. This role is responsible for creating and executing sales strategies that maximize revenue, market share, and profitability, while ensuring alignment with ALH’s culture and long-term business objectives. The successful candidate will be a proven sales leader with deep knowledge of focused service brands, exceptional owner and brand relations skills, and the ability to mentor and inspire regional and property-level sales leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement both divisional and property specific sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize market share.
- Provide leadership and guidance to property-level sales teams across the focused service portfolio.
- Partner with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to ensure cohesive and aligned strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, brand representatives, and ownership groups.
- Monitor sales performance through regular review of revenue reports, market trends, and comp set data.
- Conduct property visits to evaluate sales execution, provide coaching, and support local strategies.
- Ensure proactive prospecting and account management activities are driving measurable business results.
- Support ALH’s development pipeline by assisting with sales pre-opening planning, training, and launch strategies.
- Serve as a culture ambassador by upholding ALH’s values and fostering a performance-driven, people-focused environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years overseeing multiple focused service properties.Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales and revenue strategies across diverse markets.Strong knowledge of focused service brands (Hilton, Marriott, IHG) and their sales systems.Demonstrated success in building high-performing sales teams and mentoring senior sales leaders.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong financial acumen and analytical ability with experience in revenue forecasting and budgeting.Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.Compensation & Benefits
