Mechanical Controls Project Engineer
Established Mechanical Controls Project Engineer professional. Manages the daily coordination of projects including preparing and maintaining budgets and staffing requirements, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing progress reports, coordinating project tasks with various functional organizations, and identifying project problems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects under his / her responsibility to ensure adherence to the established program plan, schedule, and budget.
- Tracks progress and identifies / resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules.
- Forecasts project revenues and re-estimates project costs on a monthly basis to monitor costs and to maximize project profitability.
- Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance.
- Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.
- Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED3+ years of experience in HVAC, Construction or Building Automation and Controls1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office SuiteClean and valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls (3- or 4-year program)Ability to lead and motivate teamsStrong problem solving, planning and project management skillsAbility to read and understand scope of workExceptional written and verbal communication skillsGeneral knowledge of employment laws and practicesDemonstrated knowledge of project financial reportingPrevious field experience with commissioning of DDC Systems and / or hands-on experience in the field of deploying or commissionsPrior experience in Construction, HVAC and / or Building Automation preferredExperience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplinesA true team player who has the customer's best interests first and foremostCarrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
