Responsibilities Work in the M / S Telemetry Unit (4W) of an acute care hospital Mixed telemetry patient population including pre / post cath, post stroke, Afib, and CHF exacerbation Patient ratios typically 1 : 4-5 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and major holiday required Floating to other Med / Surg units may occur Non-titratable drips : Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin Utilizes Alaris pumps, LifPak Defib monitors, Hoyer lifts, glucometers, Dynamaps, and Kangaroo pumps EPIC charting experience preferred Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, medication administration, care coordination, and patient teaching Care for a variety of telemetry patients including those with multi-system conditions Testing and EKG exam required on first day, with two attempts allowed Scrub colors are navy blue, white, or a combination of the two All major holiday coverage is required Role requires adaptability to rapidly changing patient conditions and a multidisciplinary collaborative approach Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required At least one year of recent acute care experience required Minimum one year of prior travel RN experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Telemetry experience required Must pass dysrhythmia / EKG exam (study guide provided) Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640315.
