Highland Care Center, a 320 bed Skilled Nursing Facility, is currently seeking a dedicated  Infection Preventionist to join the team!

Position Overview :

The  Infection Preventionist will manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department. The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients.

Responsibilities of the  Infection Preventionist :

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents.
• Responsible for coordinating infection control.
• Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records.
• Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.
• Maintain infection control logs and improve resident outcomes through training and leadership.
• Oversee and manage the Antibiotic Stewardship Program-surveillance, analysis, and reporting.
