Structural Engineering Manager (Phantom Works)

Overview

Structural Engineering Manager (Phantom Works) at Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). The manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to define major airframe assemblies for a proprietary air vehicle, coordinating with engineering leaders, internal stakeholders, and external customers to define innovative, next-generation solutions to the development process.

Position Responsibilities

• Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
• Ability to travel 10% of time in support of suppliers, customer engagement and other program needs.

Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Typical summary pay range : $151,300 - $204,700
