Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Sector is looking for a Director - Chief Engineer to join the LGM-35A Sentinel Office of the Chief Engineer in our Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. This leadership role is based in Roy, Utah, overseeing the technical team responsible for design, development, and delivery of the command and launch capability of the Sentinel Weapon System.

Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Responsibility for technical performance of the teams developing command and control, and infrastructure segments of the Sentinel Weapon System. This includes providing technical direction and leadership to the Command and Launch Segment and its sub-IPTs
• Provides thought leadership into the program's technical roadmap and identifies technical growth opportunities ensuring that tools, processes, and training support the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) for the program
• Serves as the focal point for the definition and coordination of technical requirements for existing and future product development, and ensures technical coordination / integration across projects from requirements definition, delivery, test, through product support
• Principal technical interface with the customer for the command and launch team
• Manages technical baseline for the Command and Launch segment
• Works collaboratively and with influence to gain commitment and performance from multiple organizations including suppliers, the Segment and Program customers, Business Operations and Contracts, System Design, Integration, and Test as needed to drive required business outcomes.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range : $187,700.00 - $281,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
