Join us as an Aerial Medical Paramedic where you'll deliver exceptional patient care in accordance with GMR protocols and under medical supervision, while also assisting with coverage of shifts as necessary.
Key Responsibilities :
Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each flight within designated timeframes, and manage daily base checks, including narcotic counts.Deliver both pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from first contact until patient transfer to the receiving medical facility, ensuring meticulous patient documentation.Maintain proficiency in knowledge and practical skills through continued laboratory and clinical experiences.Keep meticulous records of required licenses, certifications, continuing education, safety protocols, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.Familiarize yourself and perform routine maintenance on all equipment and supplies utilized in emergency programs.Maintain strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues, emergency personnel, hospitals, and the community.Function effectively as a medical flight team member.Engage in pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing all relevant documentation.Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and provide support to pilots as needed, including radio communication, navigation, and visual monitoring.Adhere to safety standards to ensure the safety of yourself, medical staff, patients, and equipment before takeoff.Conduct aircraft safety briefings when necessary.Perform other assigned duties as necessary.Required Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of three years in an ALS or critical care setting required; flight experience preferred.Education : Current EMT-P license / certification where you operate required; certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.Must obtain trauma certification within six months of hire and Advanced Certification (FP-C) within twelve months of hiring preferred.Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS / PEPP, ITLS / PHTLS are preferred.NREMT-P certification may be required based on assigned area.Physical Requirements :
Must be willing to adjust facial hair to ensure proper fit for an N95 mask.Possess the necessary gross and fine motor skills to deliver a full range of safe and effective patient care.Physically capable of lifting and / or moving up to 150 pounds with assistance.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Flexibility in work schedule is essential.Why Choose Our Team?
