Job description

Medical Technologist - Team Leader DAY SHIFT

Central, Georgia Only 1.5 Hours South of Atlanta

Are you ready to take the next step in your laboratory career? We're looking for a skilled Medical Technologist - Team Leader to join a collaborative healthcare team. In this role, you'll ensure the quality, efficiency, and safety of laboratory operations while making a direct impact on patient care.

What You'll Do

  • Perform laboratory analysis on a variety of specimens to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain quality assurance by adhering to established testing procedures, equipment guidelines, and corrective action standards.
  • Prepare reagents, manage supply inventory, and support cost-efficient lab operations.
  • Apply sound clinical judgment when troubleshooting equipment or testing challenges, escalating when necessary.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating procedures to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure smooth departmental operations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, projects, and competency assessment programs.

What We're Looking For

  • ASCP-registered Medical Technologist (or equivalent).
  • 2-5 years of relevant laboratory experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining quality and patient safety.
