Position Summary
The Provider Portal Analyst is responsible for ongoing maintenance of EPIC system records related to Provider Network including, providers, vendors and place of service, which includes submission of updates, operational testing, integration with operational workflows. This includes monitoring the downstream impacts for migration testing, cross-interfacing and provider portal validity. The Provider Portal Analyst cross collaborates with Contracting, Utilization Management, AP, Claims and Information Services teams on workflow standardization, process design and rollout of system development through application of LEAN principles.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Responsible for monitoring network provider portals and provider databases, researching and submitting requests to the IS Department to update provider information which includes but is not limited to : demographic information; leveling; preference lists and billing information as well as submitting change requests on an as needed basis.Coordinates technical tasks and utilizes technical applications to provide input and support for process / workflow analysis, design, development, maintenance and enhancement of portal applications.Facilitates reoccurring collaboration between the organizational departments to ensure operational efficiency and satisfaction (this includes the preparation, distribution and coordination of any follow-up subject matters).Identifies problems, issues and trends, obtains and analyzes data, recommends solutions for information services to implement when appropriate.Ability to analyze and interpret details using pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a wide range of problems and issues within network.Responsible for provisioning and onboarding users for the provider portal and physician report center; this includes troubleshooting, vendor registration, password resets, end user training and resolving miscellaneous network issues.May be responsible for participating in the integration, testing and maintenance of the provider portals.Assists provider's offices with portal registration, password resets, issues, ongoing training and questions.Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet changing deadlines.Resolves system issues by working with internal departments such as IS and the Utilization Management department.Provides both technical and clerical assistance to facilitate effective and efficient operation of the provider portals.Other duties as assignedPlacement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications / Work Experience :
Minimum of three years healthcare experience working in a managed care or an information system setting is required.Epic or equivalent Managed Care electronic medical record system and provider portal applications knowledge preferred.Experience with various healthcare industry regulatory agencies and requirements including but not limited to CMS, NCQA, DMHC, ICE, DHCS, preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook is a must.Experience with Smartsheet preferred.Education / Licensure / Certification :
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required.
