Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based health services program is seeking a Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide short-term coverage for student health needs. This position supports student wellness, medication administration, and emergency care when permanent nursing staff are unavailable.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Deliver nursing services during substitute assignments, following district and state health protocols

Administer medications, monitor student health, and document treatments or incidents

Provide basic first aid, respond to emergencies, and communicate health information to supervising staff or guardians as appropriate

Assist with student screenings, maintain health records, and ensure confidentiality and compliance with school health regulations

Support students with chronic health needs by following individualized care plans under RN or administrative supervision

Adapt to varying school environments and grade levels as needed for coverage

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

Active Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing

Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric, or adolescent healthcare preferred

Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills

Dependable and flexible for day-to-day substitute assignments

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy in documentation
