TITLE

Coordinator, Physical Therapy Admissions

JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator of Physical Therapy Admissions is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the School of Physical Therapy and other special projects for the college. The position evaluates and oversees the college's centralized application process and maintains the database and reporting for programs within the CHS. This position will manage and monitor the application process for the School of Physical Therapy and ensures appropriate front-line support services for students, faculty and staff. Support will be provided in-person and online. Work is performed independently under limited supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Dean of College of Health Sciences

Supervises:No supervisory responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES -May include, but not limited to the following:
  • Administers, manages, and oversees the CAS for the College of Health Sciences.
  • Manages the CHS programs with primary focus on PT and OT.
  • Acts as the Webadmit Administrator for the School of Physical Therapy.
  • Serves as front-line support for applicants in the admissions process.
  • Coordinates application review process with faculty and appropriate program administrators.
  • Monitors application process.
  • Collects data, maintains database, and prepares reports for Dean's office staff in alignment with college and university processes.
  • Trains reviewers in the application process and conducts training sessions, lead trainer.
  • Supports and coordinates College programs' involvement with Pioneer Preview Days, Graduate Fairs, and other university related events.
  • Assists with summer and transfer orientations as needed.
  • Sets up supplemental scoring systems for application reviews as needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Knowledge of TWU admissions and application processes.
  • Knowledge of the physical therapy curriculum and support services in the college.
  • Ability to develop and maintain databases, reports, and processes.
  • Ability to represents the College of Health Sciences and the School of Physical Therapy in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Ability to multi-task, develop and produce project data and special reports.
  • Ability to coordinate work with other employees and provide direct instruction or supervision as assigned.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgement based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, by phone, in person, and in writing.
  • Ability to represent the department and University in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Working knowledge of office practices and methods.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including university related software and email.
EDUCATION

High school diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Two years' experience in admissions and application processing.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
