HRIS Analyst - Compensation

Kiewit Corporation is seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst with a strong focus on Compensation to maintain, enhance, and optimize HR systems, primarily SAP SuccessFactors. This role supports compensation programs and broader HR functions that support Kiewit's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent. The successful candidate will combine system expertise, analytical capability, and project management skills to drive continuous improvement across Kiewit's HR technology landscape.

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.

This position is located in one of our headquarter offices in Houston, TX, Omaha, NE, or Lenexa, KS. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. This role requires regular, onsite attendance.

Responsibilities include :

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Compensation and Variable Pay modules within SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Support and optimize HR processes for salary planning, merit cycles, incentive programs, and compensation structures.
  • Collaborate with HR, Data Analytics, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, integration integrity, and compliance across SAP and SuccessFactors environments.
  • Lead or participate in HR technology projects, managing timelines, stakeholders, testing, and communications.
  • Translate business requirements into system configurations, functional specifications, and technical solutions.
  • Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and analytics on compensation trends, data integrity, and HR metrics.
  • Identify and implement process and system enhancements across broader HR modules (e.g., Performance, Learning, Recruiting, Employee Central).
  • Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with minimal disruption to HR operations, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and resolution.
  • Partner with vendors and consultants on system releases, integrations, and updates.
  • Contribute to data governance initiatives to improve data quality, security, and compliance within HR systems.

Qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 35+ years of HRIS experience with SAP SuccessFactors Compensation (additional module experience preferred).
  • Experience with SAP HCM or integration between SAP and SuccessFactors.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, test, and deploy HR technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, processes, and compliance standards.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; familiarity with tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or similar preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Preferred Qualifications include :
  • SuccessFactors Certification (Compensation or Employee Central).
  • Experience with change management and HR process transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks in HR systems.

  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
