LTC Unit Manager (RN or LPN) – Full-Time | Boston, MA 02128 | $53–$55 / hour
We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated LTC Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to provide leadership and clinical oversight in our long-term care setting. Compensation : $53–$55 / hour (based on experience and licensure)
Position Overview
The Unit Manager (RN or LPN) plays a vital leadership role within the nursing department. This position is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of quality, safety, and compassion. You’ll work closely with the Director of Nursing, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to maintain excellence in resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the unit to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Coordinate and oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
Maintain compliance with CMS, DPH, and facility policies.
Review and update resident care plans; ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care.
Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to improve outcomes and promote best practices.
Support infection prevention, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives (QAPI).
Provide coaching, in-service training, and ongoing development for unit staff.
Participate in leadership meetings and assist with survey readiness and compliance monitoring.
Qualifications
Active RN or LPN license in good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Minimum 2–3 years of long-term care experience required.
Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
Working knowledge of CMS regulations, DPH standards, and the MDS process.
Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (PCC experience a plus).
