Qualifications

Sr. Android Developer with 5+ years of experience with Android and Java, and UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Hands-on experience with the Android SDK and Android Studio.

• Hands-on experience with Web Services, SOAP, REST, JQuery and JSON to connect mobile apps to back-end services; experience with the Gradle build tool.
• 8+ years of experience with Android, Java, JavaScript, UI design principles, patterns, and best practices; familiar with agile or waterfall development methods; proficient with common Android APIs (WebViews, Location, Camera, Notifications, Maps, etc.).
• Maven
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• UI
• OO languages / frameworks is a plus
• Android Framework APIs (WebViews, Location, Camera, Notifications, Maps, etc.)
• Work closely with development, product management, and QA teams to design and develop Android applications
• Develop and perform unit testing of software; prototype solutions as needed
• Document work to allow for seamless hand-off to other teams
• Build scalable and fault-tolerant solutions; integrate with overlapping cross-functional teams
