The Third Judicial District in Canyon County has a current opening for a qualified part-time female Drug Testing Technician in the Trial Court Administration (TCA) Department. Some duties require same gender interactions. We encourage qualified female applicants to apply.

Compensation : $20.60 per hour

Hours : 3 : 30 p.m. to 5 : 30 p.m. approximately 4-5 days per week

General Statement of Duties

Conducts supervised and observed urine drug screens. Work is performed under general supervision.

This position will instruct and assist clients in the screening process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may vary with specific positions) :

• Conducts supervised and observed urine drug screen tests;
• Monitors and detects any potential device or substance used to interfere with the drug test during the collection of the sample;
• Maintains detailed records;
• Prepares and maintains the drug screen lab;
• Sorts, verifies, prepares and packages the collections for daily pick up;
• Helps maintain and inventories drug screen supplies;
• Performs breath alcohol-sensor tests;
• Completes necessary documents and court affidavits;
• Uses panel cup substance screening devices and interprets results;
• Reports compliance or noncompliance of Drug Court participants to the Drug Court Coordinator;
• Testifies in Court regarding client violations and / or observed drug screens, if necessary;
• Attends training;
• Files and shreds documents.
• Disposes of used testing equipment / materials safely.
