Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking candidates for a full-time Serials Librarian to work in their theological library. This position will coordinate and execute the library standing order and periodicals acquisitions activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and receive library standing orders in accordance with established protocols
- Maintain records for periodicals, including catalog, check-in, claims, and bindery records with the assistance of student workers
- Pay invoices for library serials acquisitions activities
- Track and pursue serials acquisitions claims as needed
- Create new standing order records when appropriate
- Process payments for other library expenditures, such as periodicals invoices, specialized library equipment / supplies, contracted services, etc.
- Order general and specialized library supplies
- Supervise periodicals student workers
- Provide occasional administrative support for the Library Director
