Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage the firm’s tax compliance and planning services for our UHNW clients. The position involves leading a team of tax professionals, managing complex tax engagements, and providing strategic tax advisory services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax planning and compliance, particularly with UHNW clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
- Work with DBTA Partners in recruitment, training, and professional development of tax staff.
- Manage the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, private foundations, and international entities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Implement tax strategies that align with clients’ financial goals and mitigate tax liabilities.
- Communicate with UHNW clients, understanding their unique financial situations and objectives.
- Provide advice on year‑end planning, estate and gift tax planning, and captive insurance planning.
- Stay abreast of the latest tax laws and regulations, ensuring DBTA practices are current and compliant.
- Advise DBTA Partners on tax implications of various financial decisions, including investments, business transactions, and estate planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field; CPA required.Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role serving UHNW clients.Skills
In‑depth knowledge of federal, state and international tax laws and regulations.Proven ability to manage complex tax situations and provide strategic tax advice.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Tax preparation software proficiency (CCH) a plus.Benefits
