Job Description
Assist project biologist with mark-recapture estimate of lamprey, maintain PIT tag arrays, distribution and density survey of larval lamprey, and other work as assigned. Responsibilities include capturing lamprey at night, ability to reliably record data, maintain PIT tag antenna arrays, backpack electrofishing, and knowledge of water quality sampling and instruments.
DUTY STATION IS IN OREGON CITY, OREGON.
Requirements
Associates degree in fisheries or Natural Resources, and at least six months of experience in natural resources work, OR a minimum of three years' experience in fisheries / natural resources. Must have a valid Oregon driver's license, successfully pass a drug test, a background check and be insurable for driving by the tribes. Must be able to work in a safe manner, arrive to work on time, work independently with little to no supervision. Must be flexible in scheduling workday and night work, and work in all weather. Extended periods of physical labor may be required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds.
