Texas Lung Care Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant with expertise in adult pulmonary disorders to join our medical team. This opportunity allows you to become an integral part of a growing healthcare facility that provides exceptional patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat patients with pulmonary disorders based on clinical findings and established guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle modifications.
• Provide patient education on managing asthma and copd, including techniques for avoiding triggers, proper use of inhaler technique, and medication usage.
• Assist in managing patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease and lung nodules
• Review all appropriate and routine laboratory results, x-rays, CT scans, and other comparable non-invasive procedures
• Collaborate on pulmonary consultations requested by other medical specialties, including emergency room physicians / hospitalist
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
• Submit prior authorizations for prescriptions
• Respond to patient queries and refill requests
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and infection control protocols
