About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Kafka Streams Developer to design, develop, and maintain real-time data streaming applications using Kafka Streams and Java . The ideal candidate will have expertise in building high-throughput, low-latency streaming pipelines and integrating them with enterprise systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy Kafka Streams applications using Java.

Build real-time data processing pipelines and integrate with backend systems.

Implement data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and delivery workflows.

Ensure application performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize streaming applications in production environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define streaming requirements and solutions.

Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.

Stay updated with Kafka ecosystem technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in Java , JVM languages , and Spring Boot .

Hands-on experience with Kafka , Kafka Streams , and Apache Zookeeper .

Deep understanding of event-driven architecture , stream processing , and message queues .

Experience with Kafka Connect , Schema Registry , and Avro / JSON data formats .

Familiarity with microservices architecture , REST APIs , and database integrations.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

Experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Maven.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering , or related field.

3 6 years of experience in Java development with Kafka Streams.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure , or GCP .

Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced agile environments .

Compensation

Salary Range : $110,000 $160,000 USD / year (depending on experience).
