HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Orange, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ED - Emergency Department Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Travel Title : Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Pediatrics) Location : Orange, CA Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Variable 3x12-Hour Shifts Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements : Responsibilities : Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients (including neonates through age 25) in a high-volume Level I pediatric trauma center. Treat a wide range of pediatric emergencies including respiratory, GI, psychiatric, neurological, trauma, and infectious conditions. Respond to pediatric codes internally (self-run). Work in a 30-bed pediatric ER with ED tech support (1 tech per nurse, plus triage techs). Support peak seasonal demand (especially winter). Utilize fast track and designated triage areas. No floating or call required. Requirements : Licensure : Active CA RN license (no pending or temporary) Experience : Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience (Pediatric ED preferred) Certifications (Required) : BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB Travel Experience : Not required Weekend Availability : Required References : Two recent (within 1 year), supervisor-level references required COVID-19 Vaccine : Required (Medical / Religious exemptions accepted) Required Skills : Starting and maintaining IVs Pediatric dosage calculations Oxygen administration Isolation precautions Blood product administration Suicidal / violent patient management Management of respiratory failure and ventilated patients Seizure management Infection prevention Medication administration (opioids, antiemetics, bronchodilators, steroids, etc.) Preferred Skills : Central line care Chest tube and NG tube management Procedural sedation Substance withdrawal management Anaphylactic and septic shock management Trauma assessment scales (Glasgow, Pediatric Trauma Scale) OB / GYN-related emergency care (sexual assault, ovarian cysts) Hematology / Oncology patient care Abuse identification and reporting Patient Population : Pediatric patients from birth up to 25 years of age Seasonal volume spikes up to 400 daily visits Common diagnoses : respiratory illnesses, trauma, psychiatric emergencies, infectious diseases, seizures, etc. Other Notes : Max 7 days RTO allowed (none in first week preferred) About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies : Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
