Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions varying by location. Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff, visitors and patients. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to support site-specific requirements. Document and report all incidents, observations, and interactions as required by Allied Universal and client procedures. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to address incidents or emergencies. Assist with patient, visitor, and staff wayfinding and provide information or directions as appropriate. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
