Category Manager (CAPEX & MRO)

A leading infrastructure solutions company is seeking a Category Manager to join its dynamic Supply Chain team. This role is pivotal in managing high-impact MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) and CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) categories, with an annual spend portfolio of approximately $50-$100M . The ideal candidate will bring strategic sourcing expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of indirect procurement to drive cost savings and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for MRO and CAPEX spend, aligning with business goals and operational needs.
• Analyze spend data down to SKU level to identify cost reduction opportunities and track performance against targets.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, supplier qualification, contract negotiation, and implementation.
• Serve as the primary liaison for supplier relationships, conducting quarterly business reviews and managing performance metrics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in engineering, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and execution of procurement strategies.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure continuity and resilience.
