Civil / Structural Construction Manager

Summary : This is a professional, supervisory, and technical position responsible for managing vertical construction, park, and open space development projects from planning through completion. The role involves oversight of architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure compliance with applicable codes, design standards, and contract requirements. Work includes project coordination, design and construction management, field inspections, and administrative reporting to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all phases of capital improvement projects, including buildings, parks, and open space facilities.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies throughout project development.
• Review and analyze construction documents, including design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure project compliance with applicable building codes, design standards, and contractual requirements.
• Review and recommend approval or modification of consultant and contractor invoices, requisitions, and change orders.
• Prepare and advertise bid documents; assist in evaluating proposals and making award recommendations.
• Conduct site visits and field inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to approved plans.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, and other project documentation for management review.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and procurement of goods and services.
• Oversee substantial completion and warranty inspections, ensuring timely correction of deficiencies.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and project files.
• May supervise or provide guidance to inspectors, consultants, and support staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
