Staff Engineer

Overview :

We are seeking a Staff Engineer (Structural Revit / BIM) to join a growing engineering firm in Pittsburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to lead structural design and modeling for a variety of building types, working directly under firm principals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead structural analysis and design for low- to mid-rise buildings (commercial, institutional, residential, light-industrial)

Create and model construction documents using Revit (BIM) and CAD

Integrate Revit models with engineering tools (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer)

Coordinate with project teams and manage design / modeling changes

Conduct site visits and provide construction support when needed

Communicate directly with clients throughout project phases

Follow BIM standards and company development protocols

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Masters preferred)

6+ years of relevant structural engineering experience

Proficiency in Revit (BIM), CAD, and structural analysis software

Experience with low- to mid-rise building design

Willingness to work on-site (5 days per week, within ~1-hour commute)

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred :

Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license

Master's degree in Engineering

Experience in small- to mid-sized firms

Local Pittsburgh candidate or open to relocation
