Department : Cardiac Telemetry

Shift : Full-Time | 36 hrs / week | Nights

About Our Department :

Welcome to our fast-paced 35-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit , where every day is an opportunity to make a difference!

We care for patients with STEMI, post-cardiac catheterization, CHF, arrhythmias, stroke management, and more. With a supportive nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4, our PCAs play a vital role in delivering compassionate, top-quality care.

We believe in teamwork, clear communication, accountability, and mutual respect — all to provide exceptional care to every patient.

Position Overview :

Work alongside skilled RNs and LPNs to help our patients achieve their highest level of wellness through personalized care.

What You'll Do :

Patient Care Associate (PCA) Responsibilities :

Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records

Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport

Provide clerical support as needed

Growth Opportunity — Become a Patient Care Technician (PCT) :

Perform PCA duties plus :

Phlebotomy & blood cultures

Enteral feeding, wound care

IV and Foley catheter removal

Trach care and suctioning

Training & Development :

✅ Our accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offers hands-on, comprehensive training

✅ New hires complete a 175-hour training program as part of orientation (no prior experience needed!)

✅ BLS certification required within one month of hire

✅ Complete PCA competencies within 3 months to stay on the team

What We’re Looking For :

High school diploma or GED, CNA / CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs

No prior experience required — we provide full training!

Physical ability to lift / push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks

Preferred : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
