• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\n
• Documents patient care given.\n
• Monitors, records, assesses and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\n
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n
• Associate's degree in nursing, required\n
• KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 month of hire & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 month of hire\n
• TNCC within 1 year hire\n
• Handle with care or equivalent in 120 days of hire\n
• CEN within 2 years of hire date\n
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred\n
• ENPC preferred\n
