End Date : April 5, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours (18 : 30 - 07 : 00)

Schedule : 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts per week (36 or 48 hours / week)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2020 - $2070 / week

Patient Ratio : 1 : 7

Setting : On-site at a community hospital

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required

Floating : May float to other units as needed

Orientation : 16 hours (includes online modules)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical / Surgical RN experience

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state

AHA BLS certification required

First-time travel nurses welcome

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Experience with Epic charting system preferred

Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (per travel nurse guidelines)

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

Willingness to support and educate nursing students as part of clinical responsibilities

Ability to complete compliance and drug testing requirements prior to start

Facial hair must comply with CDC fit testing guidelines

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse Med / Surg patient population, including oncology and post-surgical patients

Manage patient loads with a 1 : 7 nurse-to-patient ratio

Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care using Epic (preferred)

Perform wound care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central / PICC line management

Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations

Participate in orientation and ongoing education, including supporting clinical nursing students

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
