Warehouse Associate / Material Handler Forklift Certified

  • ???? Location : Suring / Gillett Area, WI
  • ???? Schedule : MondayFriday, 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM (Occasional overtime past 3 PM based on truck schedules)
  • ???? Position Type : Full-Time
  • ???? Wage : $18.00- 21.00 / hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our shipping team. This role is essential to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving operations. Youll be responsible for preparing products for shipment, maintaining workflow in dock and staging areas, and operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and hand trucks
  • Load and unload trailers (palletized and floor-loaded freight)
  • Prepare and crate products for shipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized dock and staging area
  • Coordinate with carriers and the Shipping Clerk for timely shipments
  • Perform daily equipment checks and ensure safety compliance
  • Report discrepancies in Bills of Lading or incoming freight
  • Support assembly areas with product flow
  • Cross-train in other shipping areas and assist other departments
  • Follow production schedules and report progress to supervisor
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

    • Qualifications

  • Forklift operation experience required
  • Forklift certification required
  • Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred
  • 12 years of woodworking experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions
  • Intermediate math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions)
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to handle stress and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic computer skills for label creation and inventory tracking
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
