FHCSD is currently searching for a Medical Assistant who will act as a float for North County. This position will perform both Medical Assistant and Patient Services Representative duties while providing coverage for three locations : Escondido Family Health Center, Escondido Family Counseling Center, and Oceanside Family Counseling Center. While this is a float position, the Escondido locations are next door to one another, and the Oceanside location is just 25min away. This is a great opportunity to learn about multiple areas of medicine while working with FHCSD leaders at 3 locations with minimal commutes.

Responsibilities

• Attend in-services or completes make-up assignments.
• Collect specified co-pays and payments from patients per coverage specifications.
• Screen for eligibility and financial assistance.
• Complete registration processes, updates patient record according.
• Contact patients to schedule appointments and make reminder / recall notifications.
• Document patient vital signs and pre-assessment questions.
• Maintain compliance with TJC, DHS, CHDP, and Medi-Cal requirements.
• Perform waive testing and phlebotomy.
• Follow FHCSD policies and procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and assists providers as needed.
• Assist with managing clinic flow.
• Respond to voicemails, route messages, and return phone calls in a timely manner.
• Record patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• May be responsible for administering medications, including injections.
• Travels to locations and integrate workflow to help support clinic productivity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

$27.00 - $31.34

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and / or experience. In addition to these factors we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
