Youth Sports Attendant - South Tampa Family YMCA

This position will work with the Program Director to help with the set-up of the playing surface and ensuring that all equipment is available for all scheduled programming. This role will also welcome and greet all parents and program participants on game days and practice nights.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Works and communicates effectively with the kids, parents, coaches, and staff.
• Effectively sets up fields / courts and has proper equipment available.
• Routinely inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working condition before and after use.
• Return equipment upon completion of class and reports repairs / maintenance needed and cleans area as needed.
• Ensures safety protocols at all times, reporting accidents or incidents immediately.
• Establishes and maintains a professional and positive image and rapport with members and students.
• Performs additional functions or assume additional responsibilities as needed or as requested by the Program Director or supervisor.
• Adheres to the Association operating policies and procedures by operating the programs within the guidelines set forth.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures regarding the safety, health and welfare of members, program participants, guests and staff; responds to emergency situations in accordance to facility policies and certification requirements.
• Attends and actively participates in all trainings, staff meetings / in-services as assigned.
