Assistant Director of Nursing

Located in Brooklyn, NY

SALARY- UP TO $145K per year (depending on experience)

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Educator :

Supervises nursing staff in the facility

Development and implementation of nursing policy and procedure

Overseeing the hiring and continued employment of nursing staff

Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current

Overseeing nursing employee conduct

Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility

Assessing the health needs of each resident

Qualifications of the Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Educator :

Must have New York RN license

Must have prior Assistant Director of Nursing experience in long term care

Must have long term care experience

Must have nurse education / in-service experience

Proven ability to create and deliver engaging education, with strong coaching and leadership skills

Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at building rapport across all levels
