As the Underwriting Manager, you will lead a team of professionals dedicated to evaluating and managing risk across large group contracts. Your leadership will drive innovation, improve processes, and ensure underwriting excellence that maximizes revenue, membership, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead with Purpose : Manage and mentor a high-performing underwriting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive Strategic Initiatives : Design and implement innovative underwriting programs that align with evolving business goals and market dynamics.
• Forecast & Adapt : Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to anticipate impacts, assess business risks, and develop proactive strategies.
• Deliver Complex Solutions : Oversee underwriting for large group contracts involving diverse product types, funding arrangements, and rating methodologies.
• Collaborate Across Functions : Partner with Sales, Claims, and Customer Service to develop customer-centric underwriting strategies that support growth and retention.
• Set Standards : Establish and enforce underwriting guidelines, ensuring consistency, compliance, and sound decision-making within authority limits.
• Coach & Develop Talent : Support the professional growth of junior team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and skill development.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is : $66,330.00 - $145,860.00

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
