Metrology Engineer

Front Row Motorsports is a race winning NASCAR Cup and Truck Series race team located in Mooresville NC. Ensuring the quality of the product we deliver to the racetrack every week is paramount. Our cars undergo a rigorous quality control process utilizing multiple quality control tools and methods, throughout various build states, ranging from physical templates to optical surface scanning Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Job Responsibilities and Qualifications :

• Inspect each component of a race car body and chassis as required.
• Aid fabricators in proper assembly / positioning of chassis and body components with use of a CMM.
• Perform data review during an inspection.
• Report results of CMM inspections.
• Adhere to a build schedule and work in a timely manner.
• Interface with members and leaders of various departments throughout the organization.
• An understanding of GD&T, and the ability to adhere to in-house build tolerances without exception.
• Understand developmental improvements / build modifications and why they are implemented.
• Provide engineering support.
• Verify the accuracy of a CMM.
