Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits and assessments of our internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires a keen analytical mind, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute internal audit engagements in accordance with established audit methodologies and standards.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Conduct audits in accordance with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare detailed audit reports that include findings, recommendations, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and facilitate the audit process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of audit plans and schedules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors and staff.
- Monitor and follow up on the status of corrective actions in response to audit findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of internal audit standards and practices.
- Familiarity with GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
- Nice to have: CIA certification, experience with complex audits, and testing of controls.
