Electrical Engineer - Spaceflight Hardware

Join a fast-paced team developing high-reliability electrical systems for spaceflight and aerospace applications. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll drive the design, integration, and validation of mission-critical hardware from concept through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Interpret electrical hardware requirements based on interfacing systems
- Develop and maintain electrical system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Conduct concept trade studies to inform design decisions and optimize performance
- Define and baseline electrical interfaces to ensure system integration
- Perform or review electrical analyses for design validation
- Ensure hardware designs meet size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) constraints
- Create, review, and release accurate electrical drawings and specifications
- Plan and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities to ensure requirements compliance
- Author assembly and test procedures to support hardware integration
- Oversee procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electrical hardware
- Support development and delivery of ISS or spaceflight safety documentation
- Present design progress and rationale to design review boards and safety panels
- Collaborate across disciplines (electrical, systems, quality) to ensure project success
- Support additional engineering tasks to advance project goals
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution5+ years of electrical engineering experience in spaceflight, aerospace, or high-spec equipment developmentProficiency with circuit design and analysis tools (e.g., Altium Designer)Experience with electrical lab equipment for system verification and troubleshootingCompetence in electrical circuit analysis, including signal integrity and power deliveryDemonstrated experience with trade studies for design optimizationU.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card)Must pass a U.S. government background checkPreferred Qualifications
Experience designing and testing hardware for extreme environments (space, thermal, vibration)Proficiency in PCB design using Altium, particularly for systems with embedded processorsExperience writing software scripts to test PCB functionalityExpertise in power system design, including :DC-DC converters
Linear regulatorsExperience with analog signal processing, including :Signal conditioning using passive components and op-amps

What to Expect
Applicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation which may include education, criminal and work history verifications.Final position level and pay will be based on experience.Minimal travel required; occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project success.This is a two year contract with pay not to exceed 29 hours a week.Resources
