Talent Consultants is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our client's podiatry office. In this role, you will provide essential support to the podiatric team while ensuring a high level of patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient examinations, performing basic clinical procedures, and managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the practice.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist podiatrists with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Take and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant health information.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure that necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and in working order.
- Educate patients on foot care, treatment plans, and medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Handle patient scheduling, follow-ups, and medical record management.
- Perform administrative tasks, including billing and coding, and managing insurance verification.
- Maintain an organized inventory of medical supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the medical practice.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant diploma or degree program preferred.Previous experience in a podiatry or medical office setting is a plus.Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to podiatry.Strong clinical and administrative skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care.Benefits
