Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Interim Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include :

1. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports / support as necessary.

2. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including monthly financial reporting, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and various special analyses.

3. Maintaining and managing inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

4. Handling fixed assets from acquisition to disposal, calculating depreciation, and maintaining accurate records.

5. Leveraging your expertise in NetSuite to improve financial processes and workflows.

6. Utilizing Excel to analyze financial data, create financial models, and generate reports.

7. Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and procedures.

8. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure a robust and compliant finance function.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Consulting Interim Senior Accountant role should have the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the engineering industry.

3. Proven experience in performing reconciliations, managing inventory, and handling fixed assets.

4. Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.

5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

7. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

8. A strong understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
