Job Details :

  • Position Type : Direct Placement (Full-Time)
  • Pay Rate : $65 / hr
  • Shift / Hours : Full-Time Days, Monday-Friday, 40 hours / week

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our long-term care team at Samaritan Keep Home . You'll play a vital role in improving residents' quality of life by delivering high-quality speech therapy services across two facilities, including Samaritan Summit Village.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations of residents.
  • Design and implement customized speech therapy programs as referred by physicians.
  • Supervise and support therapy assistants and ancillary staff.
  • Provide cross-coverage between two long-term care facilities as needed.
  • Required Experience :

  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York State
  • Current BLS certification
  • 1 year of SLP experience highly preferred (not required)
  • Nice-to-Have Experience :

  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
  • Multi-site or floating facility coverage experience
  • Required Skills :

  • Patient evaluation and therapy planning
  • Speech and language rehabilitation
  • Documentation and treatment tracking
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Team collaboration and staff supervision
  • Geriatric and long-term care specialization
  • EMR familiarity in rehab settings
  • Additional Skills :

  • Ability to float between two facilities
  • Resident-centered communication
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary rehab teams
