The Museum Division Of The Secretary Of State Is Seeking A Police Officer 1, 2 Or 3 In The Security Section Of The Old State Capitol.

Minimum Qualifications : No Experience Or Training Is Required. Necessary Special Requirements : Applicants Must Be At Least 18 Years Of Age. Possession Of A Current Louisiana Driver's License. Willingness And Ability To Attain A Peace Officer Standards And Training (Post) Certification. An Applicant Who Has Been Convicted Of A Felony Or Who Is Under Indictment On A Felony Charge Will Be Disqualified Until Relief From The Disabilities Imposed By State And Federal Laws Is Granted.

Job Duties And Other Information : Job Duties : + Routine Patrols Of Assigned Areas Of The Museum And Enforcement Of Rules And Regulations. + Greet Employees And Guests. + Remain Vigilant To Potential Threats To Persons And Property. + May Serve As Shift Supervisor In The Absence Of The Police Sergeant. + May Work Special Assignments Involving Large Crowd Control. + Monitor Security Systems And Surveillance Systems. + Compiles Daily Activity Logs.
