Job Summary :
- Verify products meet company standards and regulatory requirements through inspections
- and testing.
- Maintains accurate records of test results, audits, and quality control procedures
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues while maintaining
- compliance with industry standards.
Pay Range : $19-$23 / hr depending on experience and work quality
Schedule : 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays as necessary.
Duties & Responsbilities :
Quality Testing and Control :
Conduct thorough pre-production checks including microbiological testing, ATP, swabbing, allergen verification, and sieve analysis procedures.Perform organoleptic evaluations and sensory analysis of spice products following established protocols.Execute laboratory testing including moisture content analysis, particle size distribution, and foreign material detection.Implement sampling plans based on established procedures and risk-based approaches.Monitor quality trends and alert supervisors to potential issues affecting product quality.Documentation :
Maintain records of all quality tests / logs, and any corrective actions taken.Ensure that all documents are filled out accurately, in detail, and are organized.Review documentation for compliance with company and regulatory requirements.Process Improvement and Problem-Solving :
Participate in root cause analysis for quality deviations and non-conformances.Work with production teams to implement corrective actions and prevent quality issues.Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.Assist with validation of new processes and equipment.Help train production staff on quality requirements and testing procedures.Qualifications :
2-4 years of quality control experience in food industry requiredExperience in spice, seasoning, or ingredient manufacturing preferredHigh school diploma / GED with 3+ years of quality control experience in food manufacturing acceptableUnderstanding of FDA regulations, HACCP, and food safety principlesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detail and accuracyGood analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood organizational and time management skillsTeam player with positive attitudeBilingual in English and Spanish preferredAssociate degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferredCompany Description
