Location options include Bridgeport, Hartford, Middletown, Norwich, Torrington, CT. This is a full-time or part-time role with various facilities across the state. The position may involve hazardous duty and on-call / weekend coverage with variable compensation depending on part-time status and bonuses.

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect and self-sufficiency in those we serve.

Compensation and Benefits

• Additional compensation : up to $30,000 recruitment incentive (in addition to base salary).
• $3,000 annual bonus for physicians who are Board-Certified in their area of practice.
• $5,000 annual bonus for physicians with a second board in related areas (e.g., Forensic psychiatry, Addiction psychiatry).
• Voluntary on-call coverage and weekend coverage with additional reimbursement.
• 16 hours per month paid Continuing Medical Education or Professional Development / Maintenance of Certification.
• Offer H1B assistance available.
• Benefit offerings vary with part-time positions.
