DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the Director of Social Work Services, you will lead with supervisory and managerial leadership, fostering service quality, positive change, ethical behavior, teamwork, diversity, and inclusiveness to enhance service quality, streamline operations, and effectively produce positive outcomes. Duties include directing departmental operations by establishing policies and procedures, delegating tasks, defining performance standards, overseeing staff performance, and conducting evaluations. Additionally, you will oversee social services personnel who provide counseling, case management, and other resident support services. You will also managing all administrative and clerical activities related to resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

  • Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 1st shift (8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM) , Monday - Friday, with weekends as needed, and a 30-minute lunch.
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Travel and overtime : As needed
  • Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position
  • Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

  • One year of experience as a Social Worker 2 or a Forensic Social Worker 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; and a master's degree in social work or social welfare; or
  • Three years of professional social work experience, including one year in a consultative, administrative, advisory, or lead work capacity; and a master's degree in social work or social welfare.

    • Condition of Employment :

  • You must possess a valid license as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    • Legal Requirements :

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination .
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
