Lead Medical Director (Remote) - Medicare Advantage - BCBS Tennessee

BlueCross BlueShield Tennessee is recruiting the next Lead Medical Director for their Medicare Advantage program. This is a remote position, but applicants must have an active Tennessee medical license

Highlights of the role:
•Fully Remote position, can live anywhere in the United States (excludes CA, MA, NH, NJ, NY due to state law, tax code, regulatory restrictions)
•Identify and execute opportunities to improve quality, utilization, outcomes, member satisfaction and more!
•Oversee a team of 5+ medical physicians and serve as a cross-functional liaison for operations, case management, utilization mgmt, provider outreach, and others
•Reports to and directly consults with the Chief Medical Officer; excellent opportunity for professional development!
•Realistic earning potential in the high $300,000’s along with an excellent benefits package!

Qualifications:
•Previous Medicare Advantage experience in the insurance industry required
•Utilization Management proficiency preferred
•Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine preferred but not required
•Previous leadership responsibility and experience overseeing other providers
•Must have active Tennessee medical license
