Factory Manager, Disposables
The Factory Manager is responsible for achieving operational objectives by leading cross-functional teams, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on strategic execution, process optimization, and collaboration across departments to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Translate organizational objectives into actionable plans for factory operations and improvement projects.
- Manage coordination of activities across production, planning, engineering, and quality teams.
- Mentor and coach supervisors to achieve performance targets.
- Schedule attainment. This includes a daily review of customer backorders and regular stock-level review.
- Lead productivity and cost-saving initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Oversee new product introduction projects and support manufacturing engineering activities.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, develop solutions, and implement best practices.
- Prepare and manage budgets for improvement projects and operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to achieve common objectives.
- Present operational performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Work experience requirements :
Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including leadership of improvement projects and team supervision.Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.Education requirements :
B.S. degree, M.S. degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Knowledge requirements :
Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring supervisors and leading cross-functional teams.Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, business planning, new product introduction, production / process support, equipment / tool design, cost accounting and supply chain management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage complex projects and budgets.Conceptual understanding is critical to this job. Must be able to show practical knowledge of the use of LEAN Manufacturing methodologies.Physical requirements :
Ability to occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walks, stoops and bends periodically. Ability to perform routine, repetitive-motioned activities.Benefits :
