ABOUT THE ROLE

PURPOSE The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload rail

cars, and / or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work
  • environments and areas.
  • Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
  • Carry out tasks related to loading / unloading material, both bulk and bagged, for rail, waterway, and road
  • methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
  • Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
  • Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical
  • maintenance.
  • Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
  • Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipments
  • and inventory records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

  • Terminal Operators need the ability to communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, sales
  • personnel, trucking firms and suppliers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and
  • environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these
  • behaviors.
  • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Required Education : High School diploma / GED

    Required Work Experience : 1-3 years

    Licenses Preferred : Valid Driver's License Required

    Required Computer and Software Skills : Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP.

    Additional Requirements :

  • Prior cement plant experience or the equivalent to be familiar with all processes, locations and functions
  • Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Knowledgeable in the Plant safety procedures and regulations
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
