We are partnering with a highly reputable, global client seeking a Payroll Manager to lead their US payroll team and oversee a large-scale, complex payroll. This is a pivotal role within a team undergoing transformation, where strong leadership, technical expertise in Oracle Fusion, and excellent communication skills will be key to success.
The
Lead day-to-day payroll operations and compliance for 5,000+ employees across all US states, in a heavily unionized environment, with a large hourly-rate population and high turnover across multiple legal entitiesLead and develop a team of payroll professional, with a focus on knowledge transfer, accountability, and growthOversee multiple payrolls (weekly and bi-weekly) for hourly, unionized and salaried employeesEnsure seamless and accurate onboarding and offboarding of a high volume of employees on a weekly basis, including compliance with states requiring same-day termination payStrengthen SOPs, drive accuracy, and ensure compliance through reconciliation, validation, and variance analysisPartner with HR and business leaders to rebuild trust, enhance controls, and deliver a reliable payroll experienceActively contribute to payroll systems improvements, testing, and integrations (Oracle Fusion, UKG, ADP)Oversee a hybrid payrollin-house processing with ADP support for tax compliance, garnishments, and money movementEssential
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-state payrolls (5,000+ employees)Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-turnover, unionized environments with large hourly-rate populationsStrong working knowledge of Oracle Fusion payroll (implementation and testing experience highly valued)Excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders, develop teams, and drive accountabilityDemonstrated success leading through change, improving processes, and building scalable payroll operationsReady to Apply?
