Certification Details BLS ACLS Arizona state nursing license Job Details The MS / Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available. Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Must have telemetry experience to apply. This is a float pool position - must be willing to float between departments and the following four facilities : Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita. Job Requirements Arizona state nursing license required. BLS certification required. ACLS certification required. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience. Schedule Information Night shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. Work 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule. Unit Specific Information Float pool includes MS / Telemetry units, Ortho / Neuro units, Telemetry, PCU, and occasionally ED holding area. Additional Details Float pool includes 2 MS departments (Ortho / Neuro) and Telemetry. Depending on skill level, may also work PCU. May be sent to ED area to care for admitted patients waiting for a bed upstairs. Rare possibility of floating to sister facilities. Typically assigned to only 1 unit per shift, with rare occasions of moving to a different unit due to census. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 6 in departments, and 1 : 4-5 in ED holding area.
