We are seeking applicants for an Accounts Payable Specialist with an excellent company in Greensboro. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing and managing a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency. This role ensures timely payments, maintains organized records, and supports the accounting team with month-end close and audits.
Key Responsibilities :
- Efficiently and accurately process a large number of vendor invoices.
- Record inventory invoices using a three-way match system.
- Track vendor payment agreements to identify and take advantage of available discounts.
- Review all invoices to ensure they have the correct documentation and approvals before payment.
- Reconcile and review vendor accounts to confirm payments are made and credits are resolved promptly.
- Make sure invoice coding is accurate.
- Identify and properly record fixed assets and prepaid expenses.
- Respond to vendor questions quickly and professionally.
- Schedule and process vendor payments according to company procedures.
- Match invoices to checks and handle the distribution or mailing of checks.
- Keep thorough records and maintain organized files and documentation.
- Review and report on accounts payable aging each month.
- Prepare accounts payable accruals for month-end.
- Participate in month-end closing activities and audits.
- Support other accounting functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Excellent attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized and able to meet deadlines consistently.Capable of performing basic math calculations.Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Maintains confidentiality at all times.Pay Details : $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
