We are looking for an experienced Senior / Staff Accountant to join our team in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a key part in compiling and analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and analyze financial data to create accurate journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Generate and review month-end reports to facilitate management decision-making.
- Support inventory processes, including physical counts, cost rollovers, and cycle counts.
- Ensure timely preparation and distribution of financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and implement necessary corrections.
- Review accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with year-end closing procedures, annual audits, and tax return preparation.
- Investigate variances between actual financial results and budget forecasts.
- Provide financial information and reports as requested by management.
- Work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- At least 4-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and general ledger processes.
- Familiarity with federal and state financial regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and produce detailed reports.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Experience with Sage accounting software or similar systems is a plus.
